Rivalry Spirit Week is this week, so make sure you participate, TODAY is Sleep on Pathetica, so  I hope you are wearing your PJs. Tuesday: West Coast, Best Coast: Wear beach gear (sun glasses, board shorts, Hawaiian shirts, hats, sandals). Wednesday: They Don’t Event Go Here: Wear Pink (This is a riff off of Mean Girls, when all the girls wear pink on Wednesdays, but its also us bringing awareness to Breast Cancer Month). Thursday: Heard Y’All Were SkskskScared: Dress up as your favorite meme! (Meme Day) Friday: Fisherman Fever Friday: Wear bucket hats, and dress like you are going fishing with your jacket fever gear!

Make sure to come to our Rivalry Rally on Friday, Oct. 11th at the Big Gym to get ready for our big game!

Our Rivalry Dance will take place on Friday, Oct. 11th from 8-11 P.M. in the Big Gym. Purchase your tickets from the ASB room today. $5 w/ASB, $8 w/out, and $10 for guests. A guest pass can be found in the ASB room. No guest passes or guest tickets will be given at the door. OHS students can purchase their tickets at the door.

Clubs/ Organizations:

All students who like Geography and are interested in Geo Bowl, please attend the meeting with Ms. Estrada on Tuesday October 8th in Portable 11 by the PE area.  

Attention Seniors! Interested in taking a college course here at OHS? Oxnard College will be offering Chicano Studies next semester. You can earn up to 10 credits for one semester! The class will be on campus, Wednesdays from 2:30-545 pm, beginning January 22nd. Please see your counselor ASAP for more information. 

Calling all Artist! The Reflections Art Contest is currently taking entries. This year’s theme is “Look Within” There are six categories, Visual Arts, Photography, Film Production, Music Composition, Literature, and Dance Choreography. You must submit your entry no later than October 25th! See Ms. Tanner in K-122 for details!

Interested in writing your own poetry? Poetry Workshops with Mr. Salinas will start on Tuesday, October 8 in D114 (Mr. Borneman’s room). All poetry workshops begin at 8:00 am on late-start Tuesdays. For more information, see Mrs. Brickey in the library or follow the library on Twitter @ohslibuzzy.
