OHS is celebrating its first Cultural Week next Monday, March 25 – Friday, March 29th. We will be celebrating different cultures every day during lunchtime in the Quad with activities and treats. They are: Monday, Black American Culture with double-dutch jump roping and music, Tuesday, Middle Eastern with egg painting for Persian New Year, on Wednesday we will be celebrating Filipino and Asian Cultures with snacks, music and more, Thursday will be Latino Cultures with folklorico dancing, mariachi performing and more and Friday a live-performance with Indigenous dancers.

California Community Foundation Scholarship applications are available at the front office and are due back to Ms. Rodriguez by April 15th, 2019? For more information regarding this scholarship, speak with Ms. Rodriguez.

CLUBS/ ORGANIZATIONS:

Any junior and senior girls interested in participating in our first ever powder-puff football game there is a meeting in Mr. Aguailar’s room, E 112 today at lunch!

Do you like the outdoors? Making things? Getting your hands dirty? Eating healthy food? If so, the Garden Club is for you! Join us Monday after school in k138 for a fruit and vegetable making journey and create your own food from one tiny stem.

CSF is hosting a trip to see Les Miserables at the Pantages May 29th. Pre-orders are on sale now for $70. After March 28th, ticket prices will increase to $75. See Mr. Mostowa in K135 for more details.

The boys golf team improved to 3-0 in PVL and 7-1 overall yesterday after defeating Channel Islands at River Ridge GC. Top performers were Steen Zeman who shot 74 and Zerek Zeman who shot 78.
