OHS Health Fair

On Thursday, February 21 OHS hosted a Health Fair. This was a very important event because our students had a lot of misinformation about diet and health. Students received facts and information to better their health. Thank you Jessica Silon for the great work putting this event together at the Hive.

FAFSA Night

On Thursday, February 21 OHS AVID, Library and College & Career Center partnered with Oxnard College Financial Aid to provide students and their parents with financial aid application help.  Mrs. Henchy, Mrs. Brickey, and Mrs. Baylor have provided workshops for students and families, encouraging them to complete their applications early.  Assistance was offered in English and Spanish and students received help completing the FAFSA or DREAMACT.  This was the last financial aid application workshop offered at Oxnard High before the deadline of 3/2.  Over (I’ll send this info after the workshop) students participated.  At least one parent was required to attend and families took advantage of the help being offered.  If students need additional help they may attend the CASH4COLLEGE workshop being offered this Saturday, 2/23 at all Community Colleges, 9:00 – 1:00.
