On Thursday October 18, Law and Public Service Academy Seniors took a tour of the Los Angeles branch of the Federal Reserve. They toured the bank, learned about our monetary system, and learned about different employment opportunities. The students all left with samples of shredded money. The bank shreds around $40 million dollars a day.
This week, Activist Ms. Amy Davis from Ethical Choices Program shared her knowledge of nutrition, animals, and the environment while inspiring the Culinary Arts students to make ethical food choices to reduce their impact on their health and the health of the environment. The students were mesmerized by her talk.
AVID juniors and seniors had the opportunity to toured UCSB on Tuesday, October 16. They were excited and were given a great presentation. They heard about the opportunities that await them at UCSB. Go Gauchos!
